A Territory steel business
KCS Industrial Services has been fabricating structural steel from Holtze since 2011. The workshop, the site crews and the equipment are all based here, which means the steel for a Darwin project is made and installed by people working out of the same yard.
KCS is 100% Indigenous-owned, an NTIBN Certified Member and Supply Nation Registered, and works for head contractors across commercial, industrial, institutional and Defence projects.

What we do

Structural Steel Fabrication
Light-to-heavy structural steel fabricated in the Holtze workshop to project drawings and specifications.
Steel Erection & Onsite Installation
Erection, bolt-up, alignment and installation of fabricated steelwork, using KCS's own site crews.
Coded & Specialised Welding
Welding to qualified procedures by qualified personnel, in the workshop and on site.
Stairs, Balustrades & Platforms
Access steelwork including stair flights, landings, handrail, balustrade and platforms.
KCS also undertakes structural steel repairs and modifications, rigging and crane-assisted works, and mobile welding and fabrication.

Fabrication and erection under one contract
Because KCS both fabricates and erects, a steel package can be priced and delivered as one scope of works. Set-out queries, connection changes and site fit-up go to the team that made the steel, and a modification returns to the workshop that cut it.
Packages can also be scoped either side of that line — standalone erection of steel supplied by others, or fabrication where installation sits with another party.
